As Highly Anticipated Retail Development Takes Spotlight

Nationally Renowned Retail and Commercial Real Estate Advisors and Developers Ink Partnership to Lead Park’s Innovative Mixed-Use Retail Plan

Houston, TX – (November 18, 2015) – JEFCO Development II Corp. (JEFCO) today announced a partnership with AVATRON USA Development LLC (AVATRON USA), and the awarding of retail and hospitality development projects in conjunction with Atlanta’s future large-scale theme park complex called AVATRON Park. JEFCO is teamed with New York-based Newmark Grubb Knight Frank (NGKF) Retail for leasing and Los Angeles-based HTH Architects for design. Conceptualized to deliver the ultimate in immersive and next-generation entertainment, the $750 million theme park, retail and hotel development will sit on a 700-acre footprint north of downtown Atlanta.

The theme park perimeter will be anchored by an equally immersive, technologically advanced, and AVATRON-themed 300,000-square-foot smart lifestyle shopping and dining area. It will also include two hotels with a combined 500 rooms and a 10,000 seat outdoor amphitheater.

“This is a potential game-changer in retail and hospitality as the “front door” to North America’s next large-scale, and first-of-its-kind amusement park,” said Jim Fisher, founder and owner of JEFCO. “It’s the kind of high-profile project that not only pushes the creative and technology boundaries of shopping and dining experiences; it’s also the type of challenge my counterparts at NGKF and I prepare and hope for our entire careers.

”The AVATRON Park concept aims to set a new standard for the theme park industry by creating environments and attractions that react and respond to guests in a personalized manner. This too, is the goal for surrounding shopping and hospitality entities as part of the overarching AVATRON Park experience.

“AVATRON’s principal partners David C Garrett, chairman and CEO; James Ram, originator and vice chairman; and Jo Ram, president and COO are placing the same high standards and laser focus on the retail development as they are on park attractions, “ said Neal Golden, US head of hospitality, consumer and retail solutions for NGKF. “With a keen understanding of high-volume throughput and the sophisticated nuances of AVATRON’s target customer in mind, we are moving quickly to secure the businesses that are most aligned to providing guests with retail and dining experiences like no other, “said Derek Myers, NGKF executive managing director.

Los Angeles-based HTH Architects are also a part of the JEFCO and NGKF partnership. “We have put together a world-class design team focused on creating a cutting-edge retail experience at AVATRON,” stated Mark Tweed, co-founder and co-owner of HTH Architects. “Our orchestration of smart technology in lighting, water, shopping and dining, will set the stage for changing the retail experience once again.” Another key player of the Park is Atlanta’s Jim Simpson, senior director for Lee & Associates, who completed early tgroundwork with AVATRON USA developers and works closely with JEFCO and NGKF on marketing the Park’s retail and hospitality components.
